Vinyl, luxury vinyl plank, and engineered wood installations depend on the room and the product selected. Share the material name, installation instructions if available, area measurements, and photographs of the existing floor. Doorways, closets, stairs, and connected rooms can add details that a single square-foot figure misses.
The estimate should identify removal of existing material, substrate preparation, transitions, baseboards, and furniture handling. An uneven or damaged substrate can change the work required before the new flooring is installed. Material-specific moisture and installation requirements need review before an appointment is confirmed.

Delivery, acclimation where required by the selected product, room clearance, and access are coordinated before installation. This is a scoped flooring project rather than an assumption that the standard handyman minimum covers the whole room.
After the work
Review transitions, perimeter details, and door clearance with the installer and keep the manufacturer's care guidance. Ask when furniture and normal traffic can return for the selected system. Tile installation is not offered; existing tile and grout cleaning can be discussed under hard-floor care as a separate service.
